Last Minute Hooker’s Dyno-Melting Return: 2,261 HP!
DHD’s UCC-winning Duramax owns the dyno day, a familiar 4-second Cummins-powered Ranger returns to the track, and an 1,100hp BMW 335d runs 5-second eighth-miles.
The ’06 Silverado that’s been through a fire, a brush with the wall, run high 4’s in the eighth-mile, and even lugged the sled 300-plus feet through the dirt is back—and it made a grand entrance over the weekend. At the Mid Michigan Mayhem 2K24 event, Dirty Hooker Diesel’s “Last Minute Hooker,” winner of U.C.C. 2023, showed up packing its signature triple-turbo arrangement—the dyno setup that boasts two Precision atmosphere units above the hood. Team DHD proceeded to make a fuel-only 2,261-rwhp with their Exergy Performance-fueled Duramax-powered Bow Tie. They left Birch Run Speedway the horsepower champions with $3,000 in cash and wearing nothing but smiles.

Jonathan Montesino’s Radial Tire Ranger Will Be Back In Action Soon
We can’t think of another time in diesel drag racing history when so many cutting-edge rails, cars, and trucks were available on race day, and here’s one of the former. Following a rod-related failure last year, Jonathan Montesino’s radial tire Ranger will soon be making a comeback. The billet-aluminum LSM Cummins block has been repaired and topped off with a billet-aluminum Wagler head. Its top tier chassis work was performed at Customs by Bigun, the truck’s final assembly and set up is nearing completion at Midgets Diesel Performance. Will it be finished by No Mercy 15? You can bet that’s likely the goal—and we know Jonathan is champing at the bit to get back behind the wheel of this 4-second, small-tire rocket.
1,100 HP BMW 335d Goes 5’s In The Eighth
The premier pioneers of the diesel BMW M57 platform, Santjer Performance Development pushed its BMW 335d through the eighth-mile in 5.88 seconds recently. The 5.88-second pass at 124 mph was a new personal best for Santjer, as was the car’s 1.40-second 60-foot. The full weight ‘bimmer sports triple turbos, S&S Diesel Motorsport fueling and dual CP3’s, the 8HP70 automatic, and sends roughly 1,100 hp to the wheels. You can catch this car in action at the next Diesel Truck Wars event held on October 12. While there, it’ll be competing in the Outlaw class.

“Cumminzed” Out Is On The Market
After careful consideration, Daniel Whalen has placed the rolling chassis of “Cumminzed Out” up for grabs. The roller is PPL-legal for 3.0 (Limited Pro Stock), 3.6 (Pro Stock), and Super Stock classes, and the truck is a former Illinois Tractor Pulling Association Pro Stock champion. The rolling chassis comes complete with a new Profab Machine 106 and four-link suspension (with double-adjustable shocks) up front, an SQHD in the rear, a reverser with Crower four-disc clutch, like-new (only eight passes) Nicholas cuts, and a Sandridge Custom three-core intercooler. If you’ve been to any PPL truck and tractor pulls over the course of the last 17 years, chances are you’ve seen the Whalen family’s second-gen Dodge competing in one form or another. It’s often one of the cleanest and most immaculate vehicles parked in the pits.
