2,000 LB-FT From A Stock Bottom End L5P Duramax?
1,500 hp and 10-second quarter-miles from a pair of factory long block L5P Duramax’s, ODSS race prep for Indy, and finding the limits of a 7.3L Power Stroke.

Close. Darn close. Neal Driedger and the boys at All In Truck Performance are at it again, this time with Neal’s tow-rig—a factory sealed L5P Duramax. On the SuperFlow, his late-model GMC cleared an incredible 1,579-rwhp and 1,993 lb-ft of torque, the most ever recorded for a 100-percent stock long block L5P. Call it luck, call it great tuning, or call it a little bit of both, these are incredible numbers. So what did it take to get there? An S472/S494 compound arrangement that, thanks to Wehrli Custom Fabrication, is extremely well packaged and even retains an airbox under the hood, Exergy Performance 200-percent over injectors and 14mm CP3, and a big shot of Nitrous Outlet giggle gas.
Fastest (Factory Long Block) L5P Duramax To Date

From the most powerful factory long block L5P on the dyno to the fastest (and quickest) at the track, All In Truck Performance is taking late-model Duramax performance to the next level. Back in April, Mikie Carrasco pushed his Chevrolet Silverado HD into the 10’s. His full weight Bow Tie stormed through the quarter-mile in 10.28 seconds at 134.93 mph. The truck, which tips the scales at just under 8,000 pounds, also cut a 1.57-second 60-foot. The record-setting hit came after Mikie and the boys installed a new set of injectors and swapped a proven turbo into place. His stock long block L5P has been belting out four-digit horsepower for the past five years without issue…

The Block Breaker

In the right application, there is perhaps no stronger transmission than a Rossler TH400. And in some racing circles, it’s even called the block breaker. At the ODSS season opener (Rudy’s Spring Truck Jam), Brian Jelich found out why. After running a pair of effortless eighth-miles in the 5.20s, he cracked his 7.3L Power Stroke’s factory (albeit concrete filled) block in the final round of Pro Truck. It’s a setback Brian knew he could face at some point given the fact that his wild, nitrous-fed 7.3L was turning out more than 1,400 hp. On the bright side, as Brian considers his aftermarket block options he won’t have to do a thing to his Rossler three-speed.
