998 HP P-pumped Square Body
The ultimate old-school Cummins swap, added bling for the world’s fastest Duramax, and Cleeter’s AWD Vs RWD no prep race is locked in for October 1st.

If Cody Albrecht was trying to build the ultimate old-school Cummins swap, he succeeded. His P-pumped, Cummins-powered square body Chevy makes four-digit horsepower and commands attention wherever it goes. But that’s not even the headline… His classic, two-tone Chevy is rocking a race-ready SuperStick Transmissions NV5600 six-speed manual, complete with billet and micro-polished internals, and a face plate shift design (rather than synchronizers). Cody recently dropped engine number six between the frame rails (that’s a story for another time), a 6.7L that was machined to accept the 13mm P7100 he runs, sports a ported ’02 24-valve head, Ducky injectors that were converted to dual feed units at Scheid Diesel, and an S467/S488 compound arrangement.
Added Bling For The World’s Fastest Duramax

In between setting the world on fire with new records, Dustin Sterling is transforming his Duramax into a rolling work of art. Check out the custom titanium anodize on these hot-side intercooler pipes! The work was performed by full time inventor, Glade Smith, and we can’t remember a time where we’ve seen anything quite like it. Also get a load of the dual S&S CP3’s and massive compound arrangement on Dustin’s nitrous-fed Duramax. In the same social media post that shared this image, he reminded everyone that upgraded looks aren’t the only improvements his Bow Tie is receiving. He continues to test and dial-in the tube chassis Silverado that went 4.70s a few weeks ago.
Another $20K, Another Chapter In The AWD Vs. RWD No-Prep Saga

It’s the gift that keeps on giving: Cleeter’s AWD vs. RWD Shootout. The most-followed no-prep event in recent memory returns to Bradenton Motorsports Park on October 1, 2025. This time, expect the all-wheel drive trucks (especially Nathan Wheeler’s Crazyhorse Cummins) to have giant targets on their backs given their dominance at the last event. New for this round, water burnouts will be allowed. Our money is on diesel, and it will be interesting to see which compression ignition candidates (other than Nathan) get the call this time around. If the race in March is any indication, expect another event chock full of some of the closest side-by-side racing you’ve seen.
Readying For Race Season at WC Fab

Things are progressing right on schedule for the LB7 Duramax that’s destined to power Wehrli Custom Fabrication’s short bed drag truck. After acquiring Bret Kehl’s ’01 Silverado over the winter, the guys at WC Fab tore into the 6.6L, and pieced it back together with a set of Fleece Performance Engineering cupless injector bore heads, and Exergy Performance 150-percent over injectors combined with a single 14mm CP3. Then it was time to hit the engine dyno. Finely tuned in-house at WC Fab, look for their LB7 to come out swinging in the months ahead. The DeKalb, Illinois crew has plans to hit SICK Summer with the truck this June, as well as make it to select drag races.

The Most Fuel Efficient Car Ever Built—Was A Diesel

It’s no secret that long-form podcast interviews have become all the rage in America today—even for car and truck lovers. Many of these non-scripted podcasts offer invaluable insight into the automotive industry. Case in point, avid car enthusiast Casey Putsch paid a visit to Tucker Carlson on March 28th and the topic of discussion was the lightweight, 104-mpg car Casey built in his garage. The prototype car, built as a result of the sky-high fuel costs that became part of the American landscape in 2007-2008, utilized a 130,000-mile Volkswagen Jetta TDI (ALH) engine and five-speed manual, sprinted from 0-to-60 mph in five seconds, and could go from New York to LA on a single tank. You can check out the full interview here.
