HEADLINES: What Does A Competition 6.7L Power Stroke Look Like?

Inside a race-ready 6.7L Power Stroke, the National Farm Machinery Show kicks off, Ford earns best-in-class dependability award, and another diesel dragster just might be destined for 3’s.

Kill Devil Diesel 6.7L Power Stroke V8 Engine

It looks a lot like this. When it comes to late-model Power Stroke builds, Kill Devil Diesel is a hot commodity. The company built a reputation with the 6.0L platform, which naturally transferred over to the 6.4L and then grew to include the 6.7L. If you’re competing with a Ford in diesel motorsports, you know the Kill Devil name, and this competition-built 6.7L is a great representation of their work. The race-ready V-8 sports a brand-new, 2020 CGI block, a new crankshaft with a girdle, Wagler main caps and rods, steel pistons, and a billet Stage 2 RCD Performance cam. Its valvetrain is highlighted by Kill Devil’s Jesel pro-steel rocker system, engineered to handle 3,000 hp. Coincidentally, this exact engine is up for sale on Facebook Marketplace—for now…

John Robinson’s Texas-based Rail Is Making A Comeback

Cummins Diesel Dragster Drag Racing

And this time, it’s just for fun. Like the “grab a lane next to a fuel injected nitro dragster just to see what happens” kind of fun (which actually did take place last year). After tearing into the Scheid-built Cummins for a refresh, John and his team realized there wasn’t much needed. Fresh bearings, a little cylinder honing, new piston rings and the P-pumped, 2,800+ horsepower monstrosity should be good to go. Back out on the track, it’s anyone’s guess what could happen. Remember, this is the rail that held the eighth-mile diesel dragster record for a time in 2020 (4.10 E.T.). Will we see another diesel dragster in the 3’s this year?

National Farm Machinery Show Championship Tractor Pull

Now that everything is over with out on the gridiron, it’s time to transition into the indoor Super Bowl of tractor pulling (a.k.a. the Championship Tractor Pull) in Louisville. The nightly action in the dirt kicks off Wednesday evening at 7 pm and concludes Saturday night in the Kentucky Exposition Center’s Freedom Hall. Of course, that means the largest indoor farm trade show in the country opens its doors on Valentine’s Day as well. The biggest names in the agriculture world, and a lot of heavy hitters within the diesel industry, will be on hand as exhibitors. The National Farm Machinery Show runs from 9 am to 5 pm daily.

Ford Super Duty JD Power Most Dependable Heavy-Duty Pickup Truck

J.D. Power has honored the Ford Super Duty as the nation’s most dependable large heavy-duty pickup truck. In J.D. According to J.D. Power, many truck owners are keeping their vehicles longer than ever before, and expected reliability is among buyers’ top considerations. The J.D. AFPM Campaign Spotlights ICE Car And Truck Ban Policies

American Fuel & Petrochemical Manufacturers Television Ad

The American Fuel & Petrochemical Manufacturers (AFPM) has launched a campaign to inform Americans of the Biden administration’s attempt to ban new gas, diesel, and flex fuel vehicles from the U.S. market. The campaign’s television ads are targeting several key battleground states—Arizona, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin and can be viewed at the links below. According to AFPM President and CEO Chet Thompson, “Americans are solidly against any government efforts aimed at banning gas cars and imposing electric vehicle mandates. Unfortunately, most Americans have no idea that the Biden administration is fast-tracking such efforts.”
