Stock Appearing, Higher Flow, Improved Reliability
Fleece releases the most comprehensive grid heater nut solution on the market—and it fits every ’07.5-’24 6.7L Cummins ever built.
You’ve been waiting for this since it was first unveiled at the PRI Show back in December. Fleece Performance Engineering’s all-new intake horn and grid heater delete for third, fourth, and fifth-gen 6.7L Cummins-powered Rams. Not only does this system eliminate the infamous grid heater nut, but the restrictive OEM grid heater assembly goes away, too. In its place, you get a high-flow, cast-aluminum intake horn, an obstruction-free intake runner plate, and a high flow, 700-watt coil heater that requires less wattage (and puts less stress on your grid heater relay) than competing products.

In typical, thorough fashion, Fleece includes everything you need to install it, including fresh gaskets for the intake runner, intake horn, throttle valve, EGR valve, and EGR crossover tube. All electrical connections are clearly labeled, as is the hardware kit, and the heater cables and connections even incorporate boots to avoid any exposed connections. Perhaps most importantly, and unlike other products on the market, this kit works with the factory high-pressure fuel lines. No need to run custom bent or proprietary lines… Finally, product fitment is guaranteed for every 6.7L equipped ’07.5-’24 model year 2500, 3500, 4500, 5500, and even cab-and-chassis Ram ever produced.
What’s In The Box

Billed as the most complete kit on the market, the Fleece Performance Engineering intake horn and grid heater delete includes a replacement intake horn and intake runner plate, a coil heater and its supporting parts (plug, crush washer, ground and power cable), and all necessary wiring and hardware. Its kit also boasts a MAP sensor plug, the required IAT extension harness, and a replacement gasket for every OEM gasket you come across during the install. Gaskets include those for the intake runner plate, intake horn, throttle valve, EGR valve, and EGR crossover tube (for both pickup and cab-and-chassis model trucks).
Factory Appearing, Direct Replacement

Other than the logo (and its broader mid-section), the Fleece intake horn could pass for a stock-appearing product. Cast from aluminum and precision machined, the fit and finish is second-to-none. Here you can see the secondary coil heater port. This location gets utilized when you opt for Fleece’s cold weather upgrade kit in addition to the intake horn and grid heater delete. With the cold weather upgrade kit in play, you get a second coil heater in the intake horn—and proven cold-start reliability all the way down to -35 degrees C.
Fleece Vs. Factory

A picture is worth a thousand words, isn’t it? Not only does the Fleece intake horn offer a larger airflow passageway, but it’s also much less restrictive than stock. The freer flowing intake horn is complemented by the open intake runner plate. With the grid heater removed from the equation, air flowing into the cylinder head is completely unimpeded. Thanks to this, the intake horn and runner plate combine for a noticeable improvement in overall throttle response. Of course, the OEM grid heater—with its nut (and stud) that ties in with the grid heater’s 12-volt lead being highly prone to failure—was the primary reason behind the development of this kit.
Grid Heater Out, Coil Heater In

In place of the traditional Cummins grid heater, you get a simple, much less restrictive coil heater, which resides in the intake horn itself and not the intake runner plate. The coil heater comes with a high flex heater cable and grounding cable, and all supplied cables and connections incorporate protective boots to eliminate any risk of inadvertently making contact with an energized circuit. The standard 700-watt heating element is sufficient for trucks operating in temperatures as low as 23 degrees F (sustained). For trucks that live in sustained temperatures below 23 degrees F, Fleece recommends its customers opt for the cold weather upgrade kit.
100-Percent Bolt-On

One major selling point for Fleece’s intake horn and grid heater delete is the fact that no special high-pressure fuel lines are required. With no clearance issues to speak of, you can reuse your factory lines, source OEM replacement units, or even install direct replacement aftermarket options from your favorite aftermarket supplier. And once again, Fleece‘s inclusion of a replacement gasket for every component you have to remove during the install makes the 4-hour bolt-on job as seamless as possible.
Easing Installation

As for that 4-hour (give or take) install time, Fleece provides clearly labeled hardware kits: one for the intake horn and another for the intake plenum. This makes it a cinch to quickly identify and locate the parts you need, when you need them. On the electrical side, Fleece’s precise labeling of all electrical connections takes the guesswork out of deciphering which end goes where. And, as has become their custom, a highly detailed, full color, 25-page installation guide is available to walk you through the entire process, step-by-step.
Fits Like A Glove—On Every ’07.5-’24 6.7L Produced

By offering an intake horn and grid heater delete that fits every pre-2025 model year 6.7L Cummins, Fleece has achieved the broadest coverage of any kit like it on the market. And by offering a true one-size-fits-all product, there is no worry about which kit fits (or won’t fit) your truck. That’s right, part number FPE-CUMM-IHK-0724 is compatible with every ’07.5-’24 Ram 2500, 3500, 4500, and 5500 in existence. Fleece’s kit even fits trucks equipped with dual alternators. And as you may have already deduced, its intake horn and grid heater delete is 100-percent emissions compliant—even currently awaiting an executive order (EO) number from CARB.
